Yellow and Orange
Not sure what kind of flower this is. It came as a transplant from my Aunt's garden. She calls it a golden globe flower, but I haven't matched it up in a flower book yet. These looked rather sickly when I put them in at the end of May, but they straightened up and grew three feet tall. Now they're blooming. A mature bloom should help with identification. The canna lilies provide a nice backdrop for these showy yellows.
This sweet tangerine tomato is easier to identify. Purchased at the U of M Horticulture Club Sale, the label is still at the base of the plant. It's the earliest of my slicing tomatoes to ripen.

Great photos, Peter! That tomato looks so tasty!
My pear tomatoes have just a blush of yellow while my purple calabash are just as green as can be. I hop everything doesn't turn at once.
Yes, it was very tasty.
My Jersey Devil tomato, also purchased at the U of M Horticulture Club sale, is not producing true to form. It probably was mislabeled. The fruit seems ripe when it's mottled green and yellow. I should post a photo one of these days.
Hi Peter - I'm kind of wandering today - can't shake the bridge tragedy. I wanted to check in and see if you and your loved ones are all okay. I hope all is well.
Kris, thanks. We're all fine here, too. I've been absorbed by all the coverage. Took time after work this evening to weed and water. Doing so kept me away from the TV and the computer.
That tomato looks delicious! Your flower looks a bit like a heliopsis or helianthus ... but I'm just guessing here!
Thanks for your commnets, Kate. Looking at the two plants online, I'd say it's more likely to be a variety of heliopsis than a variety of helianthus.
