Lungwort

Lungwort, by any other name, would probably appeal to more plant buyers. The main attraction is the foliage, but for a few weeks in May, it sports tiny flowers in shades of violet and pink.

Both its English common name and its Latin name, Pulmonaria, reflect on its place in folk medicine, when the plant was thought to be useful in treating pulmonary infections.

Very pretty. I love lungwort - but you're right, the name is a little weird! This year I had one bloom that was a deep dark purple - very cool - of course, I don't seem to have the name of it...

The leaves alone are beautiful! (Yes, I am a total sucker for spots and variegated leaves).
