Winter rolls in

Temperature dropped to single digits last night. I guess it's time to stop working in my garden.

A warm start to November had me working in the dirt up until last weekend. I had some potted perennials and shrubs -- mostly rescue transplants. Assuming they're more likely to survive winter in the ground than in pots, I put them in a temporary bed. Watered them well, and a couple of days later, we finally had our first real frost.

Now that winter has forced me to give up playing in the dirt, maybe I'll start blogging a bit more.

Or maybe not.
