Prairie Smoke blossoms

Same as last year, Geum triflorum is the first non-bulb to blossom.

I love this plant! I just bought two packs of my very own. Where did you plant yours -- on an edge of an existing bed? I read that it only get s 18 inches tall.

I've got them at the edge of a bed that gets morning shade. They need to be divided every few years.

Last fall, I transplanted three to my front boulevard, where they will get significantly more sun. Two made it through the winter.

My prairie smoke plants don't get more than 8 inches tall. Perhaps they'll grow taller in the sun.
