Portulaca grandiflora, brightening my boulevard. These flourish where most other plants struggle, and unlike the sedums, they offer bright, showy flowers.
I usually get a flat or two of these annuals. They are usually spent by the end of summer, just as the self-seeded ones are hitting their stride.

I love that bright color. I had some of these in an old metal washtub last year - and they came back this spring. I love when that happens!!!!
