Black or Red?

Raspberries, that is. These are black raspberries. They ripen to a near black shade of purple, and for my money, they are much tastier than the larger red raspberries.

The canes hold up better, too. My red raspberry is a mess, as the weight of the fruit causes the canes to flop.

I've found that the black raspberries thrive in less than full sun, and they don't spread as aggressively as the red raspberries.
